Aims, contents and method of the course:

This module introduces the basics of research data management and open science. Upon completion of the module, the students:
Understand the most important concepts of research data management, open science and research
Understand the rules of good scientific practice, as well as ethical aspects and the legal framework of data management
Create budget plans and financing models for the management and permanent storage of research data
Analyze the role and typical tasks of data stewards

Content:
Introduction to:
o Research Data Management
o Good scientific practice
o Open Access, Open Science, Open Data
o Legal and ethical aspects
o Cost estimation and financing models
o Role and tasks of data stewards

Methods:
Presentations, discussions, group work and exercises
